What is the Product Substitution Policy?
In the rare instance when demand surpasses supply of a particular item, we will replace it with one of equal or greater value at no additional charge.
How long will the Gourmet Foods in my gift basket stay fresh?
The gourmet food in your gift basket will be best if eaten within 3 months from the time it is received. Many items will last longer, call us if you have a question about a specific item.
What are your shipping and handling charges and delivery times?
The standard shipping and handling charge for each gift is determined by the level of service that you chose. Ground for all baskets is 16.95, 2 day Expedited is 49.95 and Overnight air Express is 79.99. Cut off for same day shipping is 11 :00 am PST Please see the shipping map for times of deliveries outside of major centres and they can take longer.
When I order a basket how long does it take to get to my recipient?
All orders received at our ware house prior to 11:00 am PST will depart the same business day. Please visit our shipping map for shipping times and costs.
Do you offer shipping insurance?
All gifts are insured against loss and damage during shipping at no extra cost to you!
Can I ship my basket anywhere?
Almost anywhere, we cannot ship to PO Boxes or foreign addresses. We cannot express ship to PO Boxes. In some cases rural addresses may be delivered by a local third party courier service. If there is only a PO Box address in that town they may be able to deliver the package but it is not guaranteed. Please provide a telephone number for your recipient in case the driver is having a problem making the delivery.
Why do you need my recipient's phone number?
FedEx requests the recipient's phone number to contact them if there is an issue with the delivery. We will not contact your gift recipients via phone unless we are having problems with delivery.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
You will receive a shipment confirmation email after your gift baskets have been shipped. You can track delivery status on Fedex.ca with the tracking number you receive in your email. You can also click on the hot link on the email to track your package.
When is the last day I can place an order for holiday delivery?
Please view the map in our tracking area to see the days in transit. Keep in mind the level of service that you chose for shipping. Ground shipping is NOT a timed delivery and is approximate as shown on the map. Please keep in mind that even if we ship your basket the same day, weather and mechanical issue can slow down delivery. We use FedEx in Canada and they work very hard to delivery every package in a timely manner. If the driver deems it safe to leave a package at the door then they will do so to assure prompt delivery, this happens more during the busy holiday season.
Do I have to pay sales tax on my order if I live outside of Canada?
Yes tax charges are determined by the Province that the recipient resides in. GST legally has to be charged on all gifts received in Canada and is 5% on the gift and the shipping charges. Some Provinces now have a combined HST tax which varies per Province.
BC – 12% total, Ontario is 13%, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland are 15%.
What are you hours of operation?
Our telephone hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. We ship between 11:00am and 1:00pm when most packages have departed with the FedEx driver. We are often here in the warehouse before and after hours to answer emails and answer telephone messages. We do not ship on the Weekend or on Canadian Statutory Holidays.
